The Kids' Skills program is designed to help children aged 4 and up learn new skills and overcome social, behavioral, and emotional challenges. It works better than many other approaches because it focuses on learning skills rather than solving problems. Children don't enjoy focusing on problems, but they have a natural inclination toward learning skills. Parents, teachers, and other professionals who work with children can learn how to utilize Kids' Skills.
The Kids' Skills program is based on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and was developed by psychiatrist Ben Furman and his colleagues Tapani Ahola, Sirpa Birn, and Tuija Terävä at the Helsinki Institute for Brief Therapy.
OUR MISSION is to provide occupational therapy to children and young people that focuses on helping them achieve their personal and family goals, enabling them to become as independent and self-confident individuals as possible.
